After the theatre
Cain's Walk Home and Tomorrow's Promise
Chapter 3 begins immediately after the theatre crisis. Nova reflects on seeing two bodies in one day while Cain walks her home. He jokes about Florian's white hair and polite manner but makes it clear that he does not trust the psychologist. Cain also admits that he wanted more time with Abel and describes their relationship as being in a 'choke' state, mixing hostility and attachment in the same conversation.
Cain knows Nova's address and explains that the Montgomery family funds the university psychological centre. That detail expands his power beyond personal violence: his family money reaches the institution where Florian works. Cain lists Florian and Abel as people Nova should not trust while continuing to present his own monitoring as protection.
When Cain asks whether he will see Nova tomorrow, the verified answer is Yes. He replies, 'I'll find you.' The promise is intentionally ambiguous. It keeps his route active, but it also reinforces that Cain expects to locate Nova on his own terms rather than arrange a normal date.
Profile minigame
Dad's Twinker Profile
Back home, Dad assumes Nova stayed with Emily, exposing that Emily lied about the previous night. He remembers a woman named Carol and talks about how people find relationships now. Nova introduces Twinker, and Dad asks her to install the dating app and repair the profile text it generated for him.
The original template describes Dad as a '6'2 alpha male entrepreneur,' calls women 'females,' and demands a partner with no male friends. It also lists fishing and work as his likes and says he hates tacos. The recorded edit replaces the likes with 'Fishing, cooking and spending time with family,' changes dislikes to 'Rudeness and dishonesty,' and uses a friendly biography about sharing good food, conversation, and laughs.
Clicking Change Profile Picture once selects the recorded beach ACAB joke avatar. Submit the three text fields and avatar with the yellow check. The profile editor does not create a route-ending branch, but it is a real interactive task and should not be reduced to background dialogue in a complete walkthrough.
Tested failure route
Police Interrogation and Bad Ending
Cassandra and Caleb arrive to question Nova about the body found at the theatre. Cassandra uses the calmer tone while Caleb applies pressure and warns that lying to police has consequences. The first major answer is the chapter's most important mechanical decision: Confess everything or Do not confess.
Confess everything was tested directly. Nova begins with 'Ok, I'll tell you everything I know...' and the game immediately cuts to BAD ENDING. The ending claims that she goes on to live a happy, normal life in which nothing meaningful happens. It is a joke ending, but it stops the active plot and therefore cannot be recommended for a main-story run.
The bad ending is recoverable. Use the arrow on the ending screen to return to the checkpoint instead of restarting the full chapter. Select Do not confess on the retry. Nova maintains that she saw nothing, allowing the interrogation and the main story to continue.
When the officers ask how they know Nova was backstage, choose Lie. She says she was lost rather than exposing Cain, Abel, or the body. Cassandra and Caleb leave contact information and depart. This is not presented as general legal advice; it is the exact in-game route required to reproduce the recorded save and avoid the tested joke ending.
Night investigation
Warehouse and Cain's Voice Message
After the police leave, Nova tells Dad that somebody died at university but does not explain Cain's involvement. Dad goes out for cat food and fails to return for three hours. FindMyDad places his phone near the warehouse, so Nova goes there expecting that he may be in danger. A scream from inside makes the location feel urgent.
Dad then calls and proves that he is already home, meaning the person inside is somebody else. At 'Should I call someone?' the available choices are the government, the police, and Florian. Call Florian is the recorded route. He does not answer. Nova takes a key as an improvised weapon and enters anyway, so the call should not be described as a successful rescue or a way to avoid the warehouse.
A voice inside challenges Nova's weak threat and is revealed to be Abel. The discovery connects the theatre body, the police investigation, and the brothers' hidden activity. Before the scene can settle, Nova notices a missed voice message intended for Abel.
Cain's recording is short and urgent: he asks whether Abel can hear him, warns that people are coming, tells him to get out, and says he is on the way. The message ends the chapter and returns the game to the chapter list. It confirms that Cain understands the approaching threat while leaving the identity of 'they' unresolved.
Route meaning
What Chapter 3 Changes
This chapter expands the danger from individual encounters into a network involving family, police, university funding, and the Montgomery brothers. Cain's protection now includes institutional power. Florian is useful enough to call in a crisis but unavailable at the critical moment. Dad's ordinary loneliness and dating profile exist beside a criminal investigation that Nova cannot safely explain to him.
The main route is therefore defined less by romance than by information control. Do not confess and Lie keep Nova inside the mystery. The warehouse discovery brings Abel back into the centre of the plot, while Cain's voice message establishes the immediate threat that Chapter 4 follows.
