Critical Choices
A second final-decision menu can appear
The September 13 independent first play displayed the three portraits both at the bus and again in the cabin after the forest. AbelTest selected Abel twice; FlorianTest separately selected Florian twice. Both menus warn that replays cannot change the decision. Do not assume the second menu is decorative; mixed selections were not tested.
Permanent choice: replay cannot change your character
The selection screen says This decision is final. You cannot change it. Replays will not affect this decision. Decide between Florian Seth, Cain Montgomery and Abel Conti before selecting. The retained account is already locked to Cain; clicking another portrait in the older replay did not switch it.

Affection does not guarantee a kiss
The Cain cabin encounter is interrupted. At the lake he subsequently withdraws and calls the intimacy a mistake. The choices reproduce the story; they do not establish a best-score or guaranteed relationship result.
Blocking interactions
Minigame Help
Continue past the scrapbook opening
Leave the scrapbook sequence and resume the camp story.
Controls
Click the large green double arrow at the bottom right when it appears.
Exact sequence
- 01Let the scrapbook opening play until its large bottom-right arrow appears.
- 02Click that arrow to continue.
Success signal
The game returns to the camp scene and proceeds to the puppet-forest interaction.
If it fails
If the scrapbook remains visible, use its bottom-right arrow. The smaller top-right Fast Mode button controls dialogue and does not close this screen.
Evidence
Both September 12 replays used the visible bottom-right button.

Forest hide-and-seek: three children
Finish the puppet-forest interaction and return from the hike to the cabins.
Controls
With Fast Mode off, click a hiding prop with the left mouse button and let its reveal animation finish before the next click.
Exact sequence
- 01Click the stump left of centre.
- 02After its animation, click the tall grass beside it.
- 03After that animation, click the central rock.
- 04Stop clicking and wait for the automatic return to dialogue. The September 12 replay completes after these three clicks; no fourth bush click is required.
Success signal
The game returns to the cabin with (The game is over and we’ve come down from the summit.).
If it fails
If the hiding props are still visible, allow the reveal animation to finish, then click the next unopened prop. Do not use the top-right Fast Mode button as a target.
Easy to miss
The old four-target sequence included an extra click after the interaction had completed. This is the puppet-forest activity near the hike, not a manual flashlight-control puzzle.
Evidence
September 12: Fast Mode off, stump → grass → rock, then three seconds with no input; the return-to-cabin line was captured. The earlier bush-first attempt also reached the cabin.
Known boundary
This verifies a three-click completion and shows the old fourth click is unnecessary. It does not establish every possible order or all unused hiding props. The replay retained scrapbook art behind the interactive foreground; its controls and return to dialogue still worked.

Relationship context
Permanent Choices & Three Character Routes
- Chapter 11 permanently selects Florian Seth, Cain Montgomery or Abel Conti. You cannot change this decision by replay. Choose the character whose later route you intend to follow.
- The completed record uses Cain Montgomery → salmon → hide-and-seek → ... Affection → ... scare him → Don't unlock (Keep Playing). This is a reproducible Cain sequence, not proof of the best affection score.
- The September 12 replay was checked with Fast Mode off: after (What am I supposed to do now?), it goes directly to Cain and Is this seat taken?, without the portraits. Replaying this save therefore does not provide a new character-selection entry.
- September 13 independently completes two Abel routes: Surrender / stop him and Make a tiger leap / play along. First play displayed permanent menus at both the bus and cabin; both chose Abel. FlorianTest separately chose Florian at both menus and completed Listen to the conversation and Let him talk. Mixed selections remain untested.
Story Guide
Florian route — verified September 13
The Phone Call at the Lake
The independent FlorianTest save selected Florian at both permanent menus. Camp dinner, the scrapbook and the three hiding targets still appear. At the lake, Listen to the conversation makes the protagonist quietly approach him. She hears about a contract that should have arrived at the start of the week, an anonymous complaint and an internal investigation.
Let him talk instead leaves the protagonist drying herself by the water. She notices his tension and hears his distant What?!. Both choices complete without purchasing the illustration. Choose Listen for the additional phone details; neither option has a verified numerical affection advantage. This save chose Chapter 5 Option Two, and mixed Chapter 11 character selections were not tested.
Abel route — verified September 13
Night Game and Cabin Visit
The independent AbelTest run selects Abel at the bus and again at the cabin’s second final-decision menu. During the night game, Surrender makes the protagonist step out of the bushes; Make a tiger leap makes her leap onto Abel and pin his wrists. Both are dialogue choices and both continue to the scrapbook and later forest activity.
After the forest, stop him tells Abel that he has misunderstood the situation. He ends the visit with Forget I was here. and Have a good night. The alternative play along opens a French-language joke and a flirtatious exchange. Both tested combinations subsequently reach Abel’s lake scene and the free illustration skip. These results do not establish numerical affection gains or the effect of choosing different characters at the two permanent menus.
Arrival
The Bus Choice and Cain's Dinner
The character portraits come with an explicit warning that the decision is final and replays will not affect it. The original record selects Cain. His initially dismissive bus-seat response gives way to him keeping the protagonist beside him, establishing the path used for the rest of this guide.
At camp, Abel organizes the children and activities, Florian helps look after them, and Cain brings supplies and prepares food. The children prefer Mac and Cheese to the salmon. Choosing the salmon lets the protagonist show interest in something Cain made, but his pleased dialogue should not be converted into an invented numerical affection gain.
Camp activities
Rosie and the Hidden Children
Rosie misses her mother, and Cain stays with her while the protagonist helps with the group game. The night activity describes flashlight and boundary rules. Keep that story setup distinct from the later puppet-forest interaction, whose recorded return refers to coming down from the summit. For the playable screen, click the hiding props; there is no verified manual flashlight control.
Camp scenes include the hike and Anna’s request to pass a bracelet to Samuel; Abel encourages her to deliver it herself. The September 12 puppet-forest replay completes with stump → grass → rock, then automatically returns to the cabin with (The game is over and we’ve come down from the summit.). This corrects the old fourth-click instruction and places the playable hiding activity near the hike.
Cain route
Affection and an Interrupted Encounter
Cain joins the protagonist in the cabin and offers to make different food. The I would need... menu allows a more personal reply. With ... Affection, he moves closer and the conversation becomes physically intimate; the visible response and ensuing dialogue support that description, not a promise that this is a universally optimal answer.
Children outside interrupt the scene and Cain leaves to deal with them. The interruption matters when reading the lake conversation: the protagonist is responding to closeness that Cain initiated but did not follow through on, rather than to a completed relationship agreement.
Last day
Cain Pulls Away; Florian Loses His Placement
At the lake, ... scare him is a physical prank: the protagonist pushes Cain under the water. When the previous night's encounter comes up, he calls it a mistake and says the relationship will not work. The guide retains the selected action and its actual result without presenting it as a way to secure commitment.
Florian's internship and financial difficulties also come to a head. After comforting him, the protagonist returns to find Cain gone. The free illustration-skip option closes the chapter. Chapter 12 continues this Cain route's disappearance; the independently tested Abel sequence is separate, and Florian’s two phone alternatives also have independent free completions.

Evidence & Coverage Notes
- The August 27 Nova record completes Cain’s route; September 12 adds direct replay and interaction evidence. The September 8 log supplies build 2.0.0.52, which was not independently reread this time. September 13 separately completes AbelTest through Chapters 1–11, with Chapter 5 Option One and Abel selected at both Chapter 11 permanent menus. The guest session loader showed 2.0.0.69; do not apply that version retroactively to Nova. FlorianTest also completed Chapters 1–11 independently, choosing Chapter 5 Option Two and Florian at both Chapter 11 menus; both phone alternatives completed free.
- The original screenshot states the decision is final. September 12 was also replayed with Fast Mode off: after (What am I supposed to do now?), the game goes straight to Cain and Is this seat taken?, with no new portrait menu. This is a directly observed save restriction, not a Fast Mode assumption.
- September 12 directly verifies Mac and Cheese, Space, A Miau Miau purse, kiss him on the cheek and splash him. Both the Space / cheek-kiss and purse / splash replays reach the free ending. No optional illustration was purchased. September 13 adds complete Surrender / stop him and tiger-leap / play-along Abel runs, plus stump → grass → rock completion with Fast Mode off. Screenshots and exact inputs are retained in the free-verification audit.
