30-second route

Quick Route

  1. 1
    Look → Go

Reproduce the Emily profile and Maya invitation scenes.

  2. 2
Set professionalism, teaching abilities, and trust to 5/5 → yellow check

This submission was accepted. The earlier 1/5 attempt was rejected; reproducing that rejection is not a required first step.

  3. 3
    8:00 PM

Cain confirms the actual dinner time. Both earlier times are corrected to 8:00 PM.

  4. 4
Refuse → Get angry → Leave

For the goal of continuing to the party, reject José, then leave at (José tries to grab my arm.). If Accept is available on your save, avoid it: the earlier audit labels it BAD ENDING and the September 9 replay ends before the party.

  5. 5
White with red details → Yes

Use the original dress and hear Florian's childhood legend. The dress has an impact banner, but no measured affection advantage is established.

  6. 6
Put my hand on his arm → Hug him

Reproduce Abel's full recorded bonfire scene. The hug is initially rejected as pity; it is a recorded choice, not a recommendation to improve his reaction.

  7. 7
    Emily → yellow check

Submit the recorded free-text response. Folding and burning the paper follow automatically.

  8. 8
right check → right check → right check → left X

Use the right check for the first three red-flag rounds, then the left X after Cain asks Is it a red flag if I killed my parents? These are the recorded inputs, not an all-answers claim.

  9. 9
    Return to the chapter menu

The original record shows the coloured Chapter 9 card beside Chapter 10.

Critical Choices

Accept ends the route before the party

Accept leads to a kiss, 13 YEARS LATER., then the chapter menu in the September 9 replay. The older audit calls this BAD ENDING. Choose Refuse to reach the party, or restart Chapter 9 from the menu after the ending. The old run had Locked option, while Accept was available this time; the unlock condition is unknown and no purchase was made.

The survey has a tested accepted submission

Three 1/5 ratings were rejected and returned to the survey; three 5/5 ratings were accepted. Increase each row with its plus button and use the yellow check. The September 9 replay also passed with all five stars on its first submission. You do not need to submit low scores first; mixed ratings remain untested.

Abel does not welcome this hug

After Put my hand on his arm, Hug him is met with Not out of pity, please. and Abel pushing the protagonist away. This records his immediate reaction; it is not a good-affection recommendation or an irreversible route lock.

Dress impact is visible; its size is unknown

The dress screen warns that the choice affects a character. White with red details matches the completed record, but no numerical change was measured. A modest black dress now has a September 9 click result, but no measured numerical change; no colour is presented as mechanically best.

Minigame Help

Anonymous teacher survey

Submit ratings Cain accepts and continue to the dinner-time question.

Controls

Use the green plus button in each of the three rows. Submit with the large yellow check at the lower right of the paper.

Exact sequence

  1. 01Set Rate your professor's professionalism to five visible stars.
  2. 02Set Rate your professor's teaching abilities to five visible stars.
  3. 03Set Rate how much you trust this professor to five visible stars.
  4. 04From the default one-star state, that is four plus clicks per row. Confirm all three rows show five stars, then press the yellow check.

Success signal

Cain says I already knew I was your favorite teacher. You didn't have to make it THAT obvious. and the class continues.

If it fails

The recorded 1/5 submission is rejected with Remember the survey is out of 5. When the survey returns, raise all three ratings to 5/5 and submit again. No chapter restart was needed in the record.

Easy to miss

The green arrow beside the game frame is Fast Mode, not the survey's submit control. Do not leave the third row at its default rating.

Evidence

Chapter 9 transcript, survey records 215 and 225; September 9 screenshots 09-survey-first-five and 09-survey-first-five-accepted verify a passing first submission.

Known boundary

The all-five-star submission is a tested passing combination. A September 9 replay also passed on its first submission with all three rows at five stars. Mixed ratings remain untested.

Write and burn the past

Enter a response on Florian's paper and continue the bonfire conversation.

Controls

Click the large text field, type the response, and click the yellow check immediately to its right.

Exact sequence

  1. 01At Write something you would like to burn:, enter Emily to reproduce the record.
  2. 02Press the yellow check beside the field.
  3. 03Let the narration fold the paper and throw it into the fire; no drag-to-fire action is recorded.

Success signal

The protagonist narrates folding and throwing the paper into the fire. Florian asks what she wrote, and Abel joins them.

If it fails

If still on the input screen, check that the field contains text and select its yellow check. Empty-input handling and other input strings were not tested.

Easy to miss

Emily is the recorded input, not a required password. The game asks for a personal response, not a puzzle solution.

Evidence

Chapter 9 transcript, Write and burn record 640; original screenshots 16–17.

Known boundary

Only the Emily submission is recorded; no universal result for other names is claimed.

Red-flag X/check sequence

Complete the four recorded response screens and reach the chapter ending.

Controls

Click the large yellow X on the left or the large yellow check on the right of the scene. Read the preceding dialogue to identify the round.

Exact sequence

  1. 01After Abel's remark about living with parents at 40, click the right check.
  2. 02After Florian's remark about a tribal tattoo from Florida, click the right check again.
  3. 03After Abel's remark about slow cyclists, click the right check for the third round.
  4. 04After Cain asks Is it a red flag if I killed my parents?, click the left X. The visual scene changes, but the X remains on the left.

Success signal

Each selected input continues the conversation; after the final recorded X, the saved completion image shows Chapter 9 in colour.

If it fails

A September 9 replay also used left X → left X → left X → right check. It continued through the three conversations to Cain’s close-up, then used the lower-right green arrow to return to the chapter menu. If still on a response screen, wait for the transition before another click.

Easy to miss

The buttons are unlabelled symbols. The old notes interpreted X as a red flag; this guide preserves its position and the observed action without claiming a universal yes/no meaning or moral score.

Evidence

Original Chapter 9 transcript, records 664, 670, 675 and 744; September 9 screenshots 09-flags-round1-x through 09-flags-final-check-result and the completed menu.

Known boundary

Two complete sequences are recorded, not every combination. No score or affection effect was measured; the September 9 ending video was advanced with its lower-right green arrow.

Relationship context

Party Route & Replayed José Ending

  • Recorded Nova route: Refuse → Get angry → Leave reaches the party, Florian's legend, and Abel's bonfire conversation. The proposal's second option was locked in that run.
  • Accept alternative: September 9 reproduced the kiss, 13 YEARS LATER. and return to the menu. The August audit calls it BAD ENDING. Accept was available in this replay without a purchase; its unlock condition remains unknown. Restart Chapter 9 from the menu and choose Refuse to reach the party.
  • Chapter 8's Hug him is welcomed by Abel → Chapter 9's Put my hand on his arm opens a different Hug him prompt → the Chapter 9 hug is initially rejected as pity. Similar button labels do not imply identical outcomes.
  • Chapter 9's recorded left X response to Cain's question → completed Chapter 9 card beside Chapter 10. No irreversible romance choice is documented in this chapter; the later permanent route decision lies outside this page's coverage.
Story Guide

University

The Survey and José's Public Proposal

After the social-profile and invitation choices, the protagonist fills out a supposedly anonymous evaluation of Cain. He reads it immediately and rejects the low ratings. The accepted all-five-star submission is a documented way through the interaction; it does not prove that every possible lower combination fails. His response makes the joke about anonymity and his desire for praise explicit.

José then proposes in front of an audience and treats his flowers and public effort as reasons the protagonist should accept. The refusal route makes her rejection clear; after the arm grab, Leave continues to Florian dispersing the crowd. The September 9 Accept replay instead jumps thirteen years ahead and ends at the chapter menu. The older locked-option record remains a separate availability state; the cause of the difference was not isolated.

02

Evening at Cain's home

The St. John Party and Florian's Legend

Cain describes the evening as intimate, but the protagonist finds a much larger gathering with prepared bonfires. Giuseppe shows her to a room with a dress. The recorded white-and-red outfit follows the original playthrough; the visible character-impact banner does not provide enough evidence to rank the colours or calculate their affection effects.

Florian explains how his mother and grandmother educated him and recalls a legend about lighting fires on St. John's night to keep dangerous beings away. This is his account of a tradition, not independent proof of the game's supernatural rules. When the protagonist notices marks on his arm, he covers them and does not elaborate. The guide preserves that boundary instead of inventing an explanation.

03

Bonfire conversation

Abel's Memories and the Unwelcome Hug

Abel, rather than Florian, is the distressed character beside the bonfire. Touching his arm opens more discussion of his family, a collapsed house, and the person he wants to hold responsible. His statements are evidence of what he tells the protagonist; they do not independently identify that person or settle every detail of the fire.

The recorded hug begins with Abel pushing the protagonist away because he does not want pity. He still thanks her and continues talking. His different reaction from Chapter 8 is central to using this guide: a supportive intention does not make an identical gesture welcome in every scene. The September 9 Keep my hand on his arm replay instead continues directly to his family-party memories; no affection delta was measured.

04

Closing interactions

Burning the Past and the Final Question

Florian gives the protagonist paper for a symbolic release ritual. The record enters Emily and submits it; the narration then folds and throws the paper into the fire automatically. The name is one recorded personal response, not a secret password. The subsequent conversation becomes a game of naming traits someone would dislike in a partner.

The record uses the right check for three rounds, then the left X after Cain asks whether killing his parents is a red flag. His question is followed by a disturbing visual scene and the chapter's completion. The September 9 replay also uses left X three times, then the right check; it reaches Cain’s close-up and returns to the menu through the lower-right green arrow. These two sequences do not establish a universal moral score or every possible combination. The longer context for Cain's past belongs to Chapter 10.

Sources and limits

Evidence & Coverage Notes

  • Sources: Nova's Chapter 9 full transcript, numbered screenshots 03–23, the August 28–29 alternative audit, and the September 8 direct-click log. The latter identifies English build 2.0.0.52; the original completion record does not independently retain its build number.
  • September 9 additionally verifies Don’t look, Stay and rest with dad, the earlier Leave, the full Final Slap aftermath, Navy blue, A modest black dress, No to the legend, Stay still and Keep my hand on his arm. The black-dress / hand-on-arm route reaches the menu; the final navy / Stay still test returned through settings after the direct response, so it is not an additional completion claim.
  • The old guide's opening route summary conflicts with its table. The transcript and screenshots confirm 8:00 PM, White with red details, Yes, Put my hand on his arm, and Hug him. The page uses that observed path, rather than combining it with the Navy blue / No / Stay still replay.
  • The September log incorrectly labels the two bonfire support rows as comforting Florian. The visible line I try to put my arms around Abel., the full transcript, and the screenshots identify Abel, so the guide corrects the scene attribution.
  • The outfit screenshot says A modest black dress, while the data matrix says Black. The screenshot also shows the character-impact notice. The page keeps the screen label and leaves its numerical effect unverified.
  • The bonfire screenshot says Keep my hand on his arm. The flow matrix calls the same alternative Continue with hand on arm; this page uses the screen label and retains the data wording only as a search alias.
  • The September 9 replay independently shows Accept, the kiss, 13 YEARS LATER. and the return to the menu; restarting Chapter 9 is verified. A literal BAD ENDING title was not captured this time, so that wording remains attributed to the old audit. No purchase was made and the changed availability has no isolated cause.
  • The completed Chapter 9 card is shown below, beside the next chapter in the original full screenshot. Chapter 10's guide is not yet published here; continue the game from its chapter menu.
